About
Adıyaman University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences was established on April 16, 2008, with the Dean appointed the same year. Education and training commenced in 2009, following the admission of students. Our faculty offers programs in Economics, Business Administration (Central), Political Science, and Public Administration (renamed from “Public Administration” on May 18, 2021), as well as Social Services. The Business Administration Department also has a branch in the Besni district.
The regular teaching programs of the Economics, Business Administration, and Political Science and Public Administration Departments were launched in the 2009-2010 academic year. The Social Services Department began accepting students into its regular teaching program in the 2013-2014 academic year. The regular teaching program of the Business Administration Department in Besni commenced in the 2018-2019 academic year.
During its founding period, our faculty provided services in various buildings across the university. In 2010, the faculty moved to its own building constructed on the university's central campus, where it continues its educational activities today. Meanwhile, the Business Administration Department in Besni offers education in the Architecture Faculty building located on the Besni campus. In terms of program offerings, our faculty has not been gradually accepting students into its second education programs since the 2018-2019 academic year. Furthermore, student enrollment in the Social Services Department has been suspended since the 2019-2020 academic year.
Located right in the center of the main campus, our faculty building has a total enclosed area of 5,157 m² and is equipped with 8 lecture halls, 2 computer labs, 1 project room, 1 seminar room, 1 meeting room, and 1 reading room. With its modern and adequate infrastructure, it provides high-quality education and teaching services.
